Introduction
I am very grateful to the Board of BFI for giving me the opportunity to lead the team at BISA, and I look forward to working with you so that your children are safe, happy and successful at our school. The Safe Reopening of the BISA Campus
The new academic year starts for all BISA students on Thursday, 13 August. On that day, we are very pleased to announce that following our A grade inspection from the Ministries of Education and of Health and Sport, all students in Year 7 and above will attend school for face to face lessons with their teachers. To facilitate the safe return of primary students in due course, the secondary and the High School schedule with five lessons per day will run from 12:30 to 4:30 pm. In addition, these students will benefit from online lessons in the mornings.
The authorities have not yet permitted the physical reopening of schools for primary and pre-school children. Our current plan is that these classes will return to school on Tuesday 1 September, and until then we will continue to provide online education. This is disappointing for all of us, but we must follow the guidance of the government, which has been so successful at limiting the impact of COVID-19 on this country.
If we are allowed to reopen for our younger students before 1 September, we will let you know immediately. If we are not able to re-open for our primary children on 1 September, the parents affected will be offered a discount on tuition fees for the 2021-22 academic year, the size of which will be determined by the length of the delay.
